Regular & Substantive Interaction

The U.S. Department of Education requires regular and substantive interactions (RSI) between instructors and students for UIS to maintain eligibility for federal funding. Learn about RSI and make sure your course plan aligns.

Digital Accessibility

Digital accessibility is legally-required for all digital course materials, including third-party content like eBooks, websites, and YouTube. View our accessibility resources for online teaching or reach out to the Digital Accessibility Remediation Team for training on how to create accessible course materials.

Canvas & Teaching Support for Instructors

The Center for Online Learning, Research and Service (COLRS) is the UIS hub for online teaching support for faculty, including pedagogy, technology, and best practices.

Digital Accessibility

All course and website materials at UIS must comply with digital accessibility standards. Information from a new UIS unit -- the Office of Digital Accessibility -- will be shared during the semester. Look for information and workshop in UIS communication channels.
